A vehicle for venting on philosophy, religion, and the general state of things. Proprietor: C. W. Powell

Matthew has a great blog on being and function. My comment: Jesus did not think it robbery [correct translation] to be equal with God, but still washed the disciple's feet. The strength of His service came from His being and identity. This means that even a slave can be the Lord's freeman. Wheat and Chaff: "Jesus didn't say that it doesn't matter what you do, just love yourself, or feel good about who you are. The function is an extension or expression of being, and how I do whatever it is I'm called to do will say a great deal about what I am."
