CF&P E-mail Update, January 27, 2005: "Today's update illustrates why tax competition is so important. Many of the pro-growth tax reforms around the world are taking place because nations are being compelled to compete."

Ah, competition. What a wonderful word and concept! Instead of cussin' the multinational corporations, let them get credit they deserve for keeping taxes low. If a country raises taxes, the businesses do not build plants or offices there.

Did you notice that the formula for revitalizing businesses in the blue-state liberal east coast included a hefty chunk of tax decreases or tax incentives. Wonder why?
