Senate Republicans Pushing for a Plan on Ending the War in Iraq - New York Times: "In a sign of increasing unease among Congressional Republicans over the war in Iraq, the Senate is to consider on Tuesday a Republican proposal that calls for Iraqi forces to take the lead next year in securing the nation and for the Bush administration to lay out its strategy for ending the war."

Do you hear the war cry of the American chicken? What do you call the unilateral end of a war. Surrender, isn't it. I had hoped that Osama was wrong, that we had the guts to fight a war to the end, but it may very well be that the World War II generation was the last one to have that courage. The children of the same people that betrayed us in Korea and Vietnam and tried to betray us to Russia will betray us to radical Islam, if they have their way. Bush is right on this one. There is a deliberate re-writing of history going on, for the one who lies before must lie now to cover his tracks.

But you know what? Histories are written by lying men to lying men. History is written by the eternal decree of God, and it is what it is. What happened is what happened, and even the rocks will testify against the web of deceit that men weave.

Of course, this is just grandstanding by Republican Senators who want to play like they are doing something when really they are not doing anything.

"...for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.... [Is. 28:15]
