Voting for Impeachment: "There is something satisfying about the fact that the communities that are voting on impeachment -- which range from urban centers to college towns to rural towns -- cannot be stereotyped. Isn't this an example of the most brazen hypocrisy that a liberal rag like The Nation  suddenly becomes a defender of the "original intent" of the Founding Fathers.

Say, Mr. Nation, what about gun control, abortion, homosexual marriage, giving foreign terrorists the rights of American citizens, banishing of religion from the public forum, federalism vs. radical democracy, etc., etc., etc.

Of course, if public education would teach the words of the constitution instead of their liberal agenda, then demogogic articles like those in The Nation  would have no currency with the American people.

I wonder if this means that The Nation  will now support Supreme Court Justices who will be strict constructionists? Don't bet the rent.
