Two Years Is an Eternity in Politics

They have to do it, of course. I mean, the political writers have to make preditions and speculate.

But two years is an eternity in politics. Two years ago, Bush was elected with the greatest number of votes in the history of America. Now, people seem to forget that he is still president with enormous powers. There is no way to know what the political climate will be two years from now.

This is certain, whether people believe it or not. God is still God. Jesus Christ is still His Son. Jesus Christ has an everlasting kingdom and He is still the ruler of the nations.

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Unless people know what those decrees are, it is best to be humble. It is also certain that the proud do not know what the decrees are.

As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. (Pr 10:25 av)

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (Na 1:3 av)

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. 14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. (Ps 145:10-14 av)
