A vehicle for venting on philosophy, religion, and the general state of things. Proprietor: C. W. Powell

New York Daily News - Ideas & Opinions - Richard Cohen: UN outrage in wrong place: "The use of dopey kids as suicide bombers is clearly abhorrent. It is child abuse combined with murder. Yet the UN says nothing. It would not even mention terrorism in its proposed condemnation of Israel for the murder of Yassin. The one-sidedness of that resolution was the stated reason the U.S. vetoed it. You would think from reading the resolution that Israel had taken out some sweet Muslim clergyman, a veritable Islamic Gandhi, and not a leader of a terrorist organization that has killed almost 400 Israelis and wounded countless others in the past 3-1/2 years.
--------------------

Of course. The fundamental premise of the UN is that all nations are the same and there is no moral differences between the, that they are all equally good and equally bad. Anytime that premise in personal relationship or in national relationship is accepted, it becomes impossible to make moral decisions and the worst of people are given license to loot the rest.

See my parable at "A Wolf Is a Wolf"

When the wolf lies down with the lamb in this world, it is not a happy day for the lamb. The UN has to go. The wolves are salivating.
