CNN.com - International team to monitor presidential election - Aug 8, 2004: "WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A team of international observers will monitor the presidential election in November, according to the U.S. State Department.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe was invited to monitor the election by the State Department. The observers will come from the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights."

I predict. Whatever happens, this will prove just grist for the liberal democratic political mills. We do not need such moniters, we are self-governed, and we should not allow Al Gore and the cry-baby democrats to continue to pretend that Bush did not win the election in 2000. Shame on Colin Powell and the rest of the internationalists. Shame, shame, shame.

We have such little self confidence or national pride that we will submit to the same treatment that two-bit dictators and fourth world savages have to. More grist for the hate America crowd. Shame shame shame shame.

I wonder what nations the team will come from: Civil rights stalwarts as China, Cuba, Iran, and North Korea? Why hand our enemies a propaganda forum? Our elections are the fairest in the world, and we ought not allow the babies of 2000 the opportunity to pretend to the world that they have a case. Shame shame shame shame shame.
