A vehicle for venting on philosophy, religion, and the general state of things. Proprietor: C. W. Powell

Welcome to Evergreen Freedom Foundation: "OLYMPIA-Yesterday, Colorado residents voted to "temporarily" suspend the state's tax and spending limit. Passage of Referendum C allows the state to spend an additional $3.7 billion over the next five years that otherwise would have been refunded to taxpayers. A companion measure (Referendum D) to allow the state to borrow $2.1 billion for, in part, road projects, appears to have failed. "

Bill Owens has evidently given up any ambition for national office. His betrayal of basic fiscal conservatism will come back to bite him in the butt if he runs for any Republican office again, unless he moves to some tax and spend blue state.

On the other hand, if California residents who have ruined their own state continue to move into Colorado and vote for the same ruinous policies, maybe there will be a future for Owens--as a Democrat.
