baltimoresun.com - Don't equate black, gay struggles: "The black civil rights movement was a fight for the basic right to live or to walk down the street without the fear of being humbled, beaten or killed by any white person who got it into his or head to do so.

"The current attempts by gays to have their marriages recognized by state authorities does not compare with that effort.
Look at the fearful faces of black boys and girls who first integrated schools and compare them with the faces at Rosie O'Donnell's wedding in San Francisco, and talk to me about that comparison. "

Finally. I wondered how long it would be before people began to see that being a sodomite and being black are not comparable conditions. To think so is to greatly cheapen the black race. God never sent down fire and brimstone upon a black city; He did on Sodom and Gomorrah. It is no sin to be black; sodomy is a war against the image of God. If black leaders endorse sodomites to gain support for their agenda, both will be lost.

Christianity is at a low ebb right now, and seems to be losing the conflict on many fronts. But that is one "seeming" that will never translate into reality, because the resurrection of Christ gurarantees the continual revival of the faith and robust Christianity, as history shows. Christ was put into the grave, and His church has been relegated to the dust heap many, many times. The future does not belong to Sodom and Lesbos. You can count on it. The things on this earth cannot affect the heavenly rule of Jesus Christ.

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.... Ephesians 1.
