Church Jury Acquits Gay Methodist Pastor - EarthLink - U.S. News: "BOTHELL, Wash. - A lesbian Methodist pastor was acquitted Saturday in a church trial over her sexual orientation, and will be allowed to continue her ministry.
After about 10 hours of deliberations, a jury of 13 pastors ruled in favor of the Rev. Karen Dammann, 47, who disclosed three years ago that she was in a homosexual relationship. Eleven pastors found her not guilty and two were undecided. "

Of course. If the words of the Bible are not binding upon the conscience of one who professes to be a Christian, then why should church law, or civil law, make any difference? Why doesn't everyone just do what is right in his own eyes? Why does anything make any difference at all? "I mean well" is the greatest purgative for destructive behavior in the history of the world, greater than any of the religious potions sold in the indulgence markets of the papacy. Furthermore, the purgative is free, requiring no bishops, no priests, no penance, and no accountability, but unilaterally absolves us of any accountability. We descend into a stew of moral and spiritual decadence of chaos and ruin, unable to make moral decisions at all. God gives us over to a reprobate mind, all the while affirming that unlike us, His mind is not decadent, which does not bode well for our future. It should be abundantly clear now that the Methodist Church is apostate and anyone with decency and love for God should renounce their membership and withhold every dime. The candle is out.
