Guardian Unlimited | Guardian daily comment | Opportunity knocks: "One party challenges the next generation to create an America respected for its opportunity and freedom and leading an interconnected world; the other heralds an America unequalled in its power and challenges the next generation to join America's quest to liberate individuals, wherever they are. "

America has always opted for power and the liberation of the individual. Greenberg is whistling in the dark. This writer cannot conceive of an America which would settle for the wimpish collectivism and moral relativism of the Europe of Germany, France, and the Netherlands. The best of those nations has already immigrated to America. Those nations do not have the moral fiber to resist the Dark Forces of terrorism and unassimilated Islamists in their own midst.
